Need help with your EMS data?

I help state governments with emergency medical services data. I help make sure you can receive NEMSIS-compliant data from ambulance operators and then pass it on to the National EMS database.

I do more than “data plumbing.” I help you analyze your EMS data and share insights with stakeholders. That improves the care provided to patients on 911 emergency calls, reduces the cost of healthcare, and improves health.

When I was the EMS data manager for the State of Utah, I oversaw the development of innovations in EMS data systems, including the use of web services, data warehousing and business intelligence, Schematron-based data validation, and integration and linkage with other healthcare data systems. I understand state-level needs and resource constraints.

I am best suited to help with the following:

  • Developing an innovative state EMS data strategy
  • Improving data quality by developing state business rules using Schematron
  • Improving data use by building pre-defined reports
  • Overcoming EMS data reporting compliance obstacles
  • Migrating between NEMSIS versions without losing your sanity
  • Measuring and improving performance
